Our first "little" snow of the season!
Carter is geared up and ready to go!
Aubrey went to choir practice tonight and when she arrived they announced practice was canceled. She was excited to see this incredible white stuff falling from the sky. She was the first one outside. When she and Rusty were on the way back from church Aubrey said the car was sliding all overon the road and she thought that there was a chance that Daddy was doing that on purpose! Who would have guessed!
When the kids came in we treated them to a warm cup of hot chocolate! These awesome Santa mugs have been in the family for years! They were made in 1952. The kids look forward to using them each Christmas season!
Andrew asked REPEATEDLY if he could eat more marshmallows and the answer each time was NO! A very plain and understandable NO! When Aubrey went to get a marshmallow for her hot chocolate she found this along with some others in the bag! Yes, Andrew nibbled on several of them and placed them back in the bag. We had a lesson in understanding that no means NO- a nibble is disobeying! Andrew called it the mystery marshmallow. He thought we wouldn't know who took the bite out of it! Yet again, another lesson on deception was given in our house. It was blamed on a mouse!
While Andrew was busy with marshmallows Carter was busy building his very own nativity scene out of legos!
The snowman is completed the next day with a carrot nose and bingo chips for his eyes and mouth! Good job, Carter!
Have a very Merry Christmas!
