another step ahead

We had our home study today. It was great! Adoption Assistance came recommended from a friend and I would highly recommend them to ANYONE! They are not a placement agency but solely a home study agency. Kelly had lunch with us and was simply sweet. Andrew was his usual self... loudly showing off (sent the remote control tarantula in the room, slid down the banister and so on) but it still went well! We go to her office on Thursday morning to do our individual interviews and then it will take her about 2 weeks to write our report. We are filling out our I-600a forms today and hope to get that off tomorrow with copies of our birth certificates, marriage certificate and a check for $1340! Thankful again for one step closer!

FYI- What is an I-600A?
The I-600A is the first form you will fill out with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This form is completed before an orphan is located or has been identified for an adoption by you.
