a BIG heart

Last night I received a gift from Aubrey.

Yesterday she found her wallet that she has been missing for a few weeks. She has been very diligent to save birthday money and money she has earned around our house and my parents house. Aubrey is very careful to spend wisely. We discussed some things she could buy or things she could save a little more for and buy. Our conversations throughout the day were brief and not too deep. Last night I found a green wad of paper on my bed near my pillow...
In the paper was Aubrey's $76 that she has worked so hard to save. And the green piece of paper was no accident. It was the flyer inviting people to our silent auction fundraiser that we did in February. She wants us to have the money to put towards the adoption. She is so much more generous than I am. I love her heart, her compassion and her desire to bring these kids home as quickly as possible. I agreed to keep the money and told her that I would take it to Africa (and she is going with us by the way). I also told her that I would like for her to pick out something for her room and maybe a handmade doll for her and her sister's beds to remember Rwanda by. Her eyes light up and she told me she would pick out ta couple of things and then told me to keep the change to use for whatever I needed to while we were there. I cried gentle tears of happiness.
God has already blessed us with 3 wonderful children and we simply can't wait to meet our new son and daughter that God has already ordained to be in our lives.
