snow days and more

We got about 4-5 inches of snow and what a beautiful gift!  This is a big snow for middle TN!  The kids were in and out, having fun and trying to stay warm!  Their biggest accomplishment was their igloo!
SCOOTER even had an orange break when we were warming up:)

Rusty and the kids...

We had several hot chocolate, hot tea and coffee breaks!

Rusty NEVER passes up an opportunity to have FUN!

Me with the kids!

AND more fun for Rusty!

And SNOW CREAM to top it off:)
School is back in session as of Tuesday (we took a much longer break than I anticipated for Christmas).

Parenting is more fun than it has ever been (more challenging in many ways too)!  But learning what a gift these little (and not so little) ones are and trying to savor each moment and obey the command to train them up according to His word has new meaning here.

I have recently read CHOOSING TO SEE (loved it) and FAMILY DRIVE FAITH (great too, thought provoking).  I am currently reading RECLAIMING ADOPTION and absolutely loving it and learning so much that I needed to know and understand about my adoption in Christ.  My parent's pastor actually wrote one of the chapters!

In the world of Rwandan adoptions there is and has been movement!  Yay God!  We still have a ways to go but we have simply prayed for movement (even invited Aubrey and Carter to fast breakfast and pray, they accepted).  I love their faith and I love these answered prayers.  Our daily prayers will continue for the children we hope to add to our family but when they are here we will not stop praying and advocating for orphans around the world!

God is stirring our hearts again toward change... change is good.  Change means growth.

Remember-  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

I just LOVE your family! You make me want to be a kid again and come live at your house!
We're praying for movement for yall here too, but we are specifically praying for movement on the file that says RUTLEDGE!

Your time will come, sweet friend and we will stand beside (or jump up and down beside you) rejoicing!
