inanasi

The kinyarwandan word for pineapple is inanasi. 

Rusty came home from the grocery store with a pineapple last week and as soon as Benjamin laid eyes on it he screamed NA NA SEE over and over so I went straight to google and looked up the word pineapple and it was inanasi.  I am not sure how you pronounce it but I feel confident Benjamin knew exaactly was the pineapple was.  After Rusty cut it up a few days later he and Benjamin snacked on it before breakfast and then Rusty decided they had already had too much BUT I wanted a picture of Benjamin eating it.  When I got the camera out (he lit up as usual) but started shoving the pineapple in his mouth with shear delight!
