Camping at Fall Creek Falls-

We took off on Friday afternoon despite the rain and had a blast! Our friends Ryan, Elyzabeth, Addyson and Ava joined us on our trip (little Ridley had to stay home). We enjoyed a hike from the campground to an overlook or 2 and then to the top of Fall Creek Falls and back! The Daddy's took a little hike of their own later that day... climbing down the mountain and back up by holding onto a cable would have been a little much for the kiddos.... maybe even the Mommies!

We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs and cooked a few things in the dutch oven..... our goal for the next trip is to cook everything in the dutch oven. We decided that this trip is now at least a yearly tradition
(has been actually but now we won't miss it for sure)!

A few things I learned...
  • I really miss and love the Pflasterer family
  • I need to be more intentional with friendships that I have close by
  • I love roasted marshmallows that Rusty makes
  • Varieties of Smores are ENDLESS
  • I truly LOVE to camp and be outdoors
  • And our Father in heaven has created some amazing things for us to enjoy--- so often we overlook them or don't take time to enjoy them due to the "things in life that keep us busy and that seem so important"
I am already looking forward to our next trip where ever it may take us!

Below are some shots of our time together!

And last but not least the way I cleaned all the remaining dirt and chocolate out of my finger nails was to scrub the boys hair! I had them scrub their own for a while as well!
