BLUEBIRD HOUSES!

As many of you know Aubrey has been on a mission to raise $2400 for the Good Shepherd Children's Home. The home is in need of new mulch on their playground so we began this summer by allowing Aubrey to sell vegetables from our garden. Aubrey and I then made Bread and Butter pickles and Salsa and sold jars of each as well. We also have been blessed by some donations. To date Aubrey has $684 so we are almost 1/3 of the way there. Our next projected was inspired by my Dad. We are building blue bird houses and selling them for $20 each. Our hope is that they will be bought for Christmas gifts and more money will be brought in for the Children's Home. Our original hope was to purchase the mulch for this fall but it looks like the spring will be our new goal. Pass the word around about the houses and enjoy the slide show below of Rusty and Aubrey constructing the first house! The houses will come with 2 screws and some brief instructions on how and where to hang the house! They are construction from oak lumber. We need to stick with local pick-up and delivery since the houses are too heavy to mail. We will take Saturday November 15th to make more houses. If you would like one please let us know before that date. You can pay for it when it is picked up or delivered.
