An AMAZING woman!

I want to tell you a little about an amazing young lady I learned about not too long ago, Katie Davis. Katie is 20 years old and lives in Uganda. Out of High School (where she was top of everything she did) she went on a missions trip to an orphanage in Uganda. While there she was offered a teaching position for a kindergarten class. She accepted. Her family's plans for her were to come back to Brentwood, TN and then go to a well known school and hold a prominent position in the work place. Two years later Katie is still living in Uganda, has adopted 14 children, runs a food program, has a bible study for kids, bathes kids on the weekend, has delivered 8 babies, has healed a deaf woman comforts those dying and the list doesn't end there. I am not good at writing and can by no means do an accurate or fair job of describing her. She answered God's call when it was against everything in America and against what most people would call common sense. She is returning to TN for a medical check up and will be speaking at a Point of Grace benefit concert. If you want to learn more about her check out her blog.

SAVE THE DATE !!! The tickets are $10 at the door.
SUNDAY, JUNE 28TH @ 6PM @ FELLOWSHIP BIBLE CHURCH, BRENTWOOD, TN ...
POINT OF GRACE, CHRISTIAN ARTIST, WILL BE HOSTING AN ADOPTION BENEFIT CONCERT TO HELP RAISE FUNDS TO BRING HOME ABIGAIL AND JOSEPH (two special needs orphans from Uganda)!!! BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY, TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS, AND MAKE IT A NIGHT OF BLESSINGS AS WE SING PRAISES TO THE FATHER AND SHARE THE STORY OF ADOPTION ...

SPECIAL GUEST WILL BE KATIE DAVIS ... SHE WILL BE SHARING ABOUT THE AMAZING CHILDREN OF UGANDA AND HOW WE CAN CARE FOR THE ORPHANS FROM AFAR !!!
When I attended a gathering a few weeks ago to learn a little more about her my heart was stirring like never before. Rusty and I have considered adoption, missions and what our roles is with orphans. We've read, researched, talked to people, watched DVDs and this story touched me like no other. How are we to be the hands and feet of our Savior? This girl has figured it out. It is amazing adventure to follower her story, her victories as well as her sufferings. The day I heard about Katie was exciting, almost to the point of being overwhelming. God has worked ina mighty way through her. Obedience is key. So many lives have changed because of this very unselfish girl.
