Our trip began in Landisville, PA at my cousin Peter's house. We had a great time with him, his wife, Laurel, and their 3 kids, Keith, Lily and Myles! We all got together for Labor Day at my Grandmother's place, Garden Spot in New Holland, PA. We rented a pavilion and lots of family came to be together!

We celebrated a couple of anniversaries in the family!

Carter lost a tooth that afternoon.
From
Landisville we went to Philly and stayed with my Aunt Margie, Uncle Dean and cousin Jennifer- who the kids absolutely fell in love with! We went to Ocean City, New Jersey for the day and it was so chilly I stayed in my jacket the entire time. The kids swam, the water was warmer than the air!

My parents got the kids each a new sweatshirt!

The next day we went into Center City and saw the Liberty Bell, ate in China Town, went to the home of Betsy Ross, saw Independence Hall, went to the Reading Terminal Market and walked the streets a bit.

From Philly we went to
Newtown, PA and stayed with my Uncle David and Aunt Janice. Uncle David taught the kids to play ping pong, took them to feed the fish in his pond and walked them on the trail to bridge that crosses the creek. We were able to go to
Washingtons Crossing and watch a video about Washington crossing the Delaware River and toured some of the sights there. We walked across the bridge from PA to NJ and back. We got to see some long time friends, the
Elys, who run a hog farm as well as raise chickens and make cheese. They took us in for a quick unannounced 2 hour visit and fed us lunch. They
home school so it was neat to talk to someone who has been in it 10+ years!

Our next stop was in White House Station, NJ at my cousin Kristen's. Rusty had fun with her husband, Neal and the kids loved playing with Tyler and Lindsay. Star Wars video games,
legos, doll houses, sidewalk chalk and great playmates, who could ask for more than that!
We headed back to Philly for a surprise party for my Aunt and Uncle's 25
th Wedding Anniversary. We got to see more family that didn't make it on Labor Day and were able to see lifelong friends from the church where my grandfather
pastored for MANY years!

From Philly we drove to
Trappe, PA to spend our last night with my cousin Amy and her husband, Ryan, and 2 girls
Rebecca and Hannah. We loved seeing their farm house and Rusty checked out some of the equipment, of course. We swung my Grandmother's and picked up my parents and headed home to Tennessee. It was a great trip! We were
treated very well everywhere we stayed and can't
thank our family enough for having us!
