our adoption

We have been asked about our adoption many times since Rwanda decided to close adoptions temporarily (its an undetermined amount of time). Our paperwork has been in country a little over 3 months and so our dossier should be processed as those have before us. Rwanda is going to comply with the Hague convention in order to protect their children at a higher level (its added protection for their children against being sold for slavery or sex trafficking). It is amazing how much of that junk goes on all over the world. Many families got everything completed at the last minutes possible (nothing short of a miracle). Other families were not so fortunate. My heart is heavy for them as they decide what to do... wait on Rwanda to open or pursue another country. God is the Author and Perfector of all things and thankfully HIS plans for us are better than our own. We have no time frame for when our approval may come. We will wait on the Lord and pray for prepared hearts for the time He has chosen.
