welcome home samson jude

What a wonderful afternoon at the airport!  Our friends, the Couch family, brought their son home from Ethiopia!  This was their 3rd adoption from ET and I would say by far the hardest road travelled of the 3 adoptions.  Through many prayers, sewing (raising money) and support this sweet family of 8 is now united together in their Tennessee home.  The anticipation of the arrival was high.  Adults and children with bballoons and signs filled the waiting area.  One shot I should have taken was a entleman playing a guitar.  He is in Music City (Nashville) trying to make a go of a singing career.  Anyway, when Monte, Sallee and Gabe walked up with Samson he began playing Jesus Loves the Little Children (ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD).  My eyes filled with tears.  We are still eagerly anticipating our homecoming day with 2 more Rutledges (Lord willing).  Here are a few shots I captured of this joyous homecoming...

So very exciting! I cannot begin to imagine the anticipation this homecoming must have placed in your hearts for the day you bring your two home.
