09.27.2007

Was a very special day.

A day that we had no idea that a little boy being born in Rwanda, Africa would be our son.

This past Friday, 09.27.2013, we celebrated with a special group of people to celebrate Benjamin's birthday.  Some new friends even sang Happy Birthday to him in Chinese.

He requested a hayride, bonfire, chicken tacos and cheese dip... and we did just that.  Oh and we can't forget the chocolate cake with chocolate icing and chocolate ice cream:)  He knows what he loves!

He knew who he wanted here and almost everyone was able to come.

He has come a long way in the time he has been home...

There is so much to love about this little boy.  I am finding that as time goes on this is hard stuff, harder than I knew.  I can't imagine parenting this guy without the TBRI skills I have learned, they have saved us so many many times.  And I have messed up that many times too.

I wish I could have held him this day...

He, right now, wishes that too.

This boy brings life and excitement to this home and we love him dearly.

He loves to make funny voices and quote lines from movies.
He protects his little sister.
He laughs a lot.
He loves well, unconditionally.
He loves food, most anything.
He wants to please.
He has never met a stranger.
He is a hugger and toucher, personal space... what!?
He loves to play jokes.
He is learning and growing.
He is a beautiful child of God.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BENJAMIN!
WE LOVE YOU!
