moving on

our house sold.
in 5 days for asking price.
there was a bit of a bidding war.
a cash buyer came.
we signed a contract.
we close on the 24th.
we do not have anywhere to move, just yet.
thankful for family who are offering to open theirs homes.
we have 5 kids.
and we home school.
life is about to get interesting.
it will be fun.
we will make memories.
god has always been faithful.
and faithful he will remain.
thankful for that.
we have a storage unit.
it is getting full.
our house is getting empty.
going to the lake this weekend.
should probably pack.
kids have looked forward to the lake all summer.
we aren't taking that away.
guess who is loving this...
attic "treasures".
we put the drums away right before he came home.
he loves them.
really loves them.
they are on the patio now.
and they will stay there until they get packed.

prayer points..
-we desire a house, or at least desire to know where we are going, something to focus on
-hope and benjamin, that they handle this huge change (or two) well, this could easily trigger regression
-for god's peace to come over us all, that the 7 of us would work together through a very unstructured time

i have recently decided that life is not crazy or busy it is just normal.
i have looked for normal but i think i am living it daily.

1 Timothy 6:6-8
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

I was so excited to read about your house selling so quickly... for asking price! Yay! I totally get the need for prayer for Hope and Benjamin--it seems the smallest thing can trigger regression. I appreciate how you've realized/decided that this 'life' is normal. I think this is something I need to decide. Thanks for that little nugget :)

That is so wonderful that your house sold so quickly! I will keep your family in my prayers as you move and search for your new house as well as for all hearts during the transition.
Hugs,
