we have a house

We are buying a house!

It went on the market Friday night, we saw it Sunday, made an offer Monday and negotiated back and forth until we came to an agreement yesterday.

It is a restored and remodeled 1890's farmhouse that has been added onto.

The house has 20 acres with it so we won't wait too long to get chickens, make some 4-wheeler trails and start building some tree forts!  The house has a very unusual layout but does have a large open kitchen and family room, that part I love!  I also love the original stone fireplace (it is currently inoperable but Rusty is up for the challenge of fixing it).

Off on a new adventure we go.  We will be "displaced" for about 2 weeks until we can close and move in.  Thankfully my brother and sister-in-law have opened their home to us!

We will wait and start school mid September, I want to start well so it is worth the wait.  This fall (and forward) Rusty and I want to be more intentional about time with the Lord, each other and the kids.  We want to be more hospitable than we have in the past 2 years, something we were once very good at that we have stopped doing as much.

The Lord opened the door to this house at just the right time and we are thankful.  Our current home is quickly becoming someone else's house as we strip it of all of our things.  We moved here with 2 children and are leaving with 5, this house holds many memories.  It is kinda hard to believe that we are almost done here.  I do hope and have prayed that the new owners love it and enjoy it as much as we have.  I will miss my covered patio but have much to look forward to where we are going.

We close on September 7th and move in on Sunday the 9th.
Eager to make this move!
