update for 1-6-14

GREAT NEWS--- the arteriogram showed no clogged arteries and that means no by-pass surgery!

The day/time for the valve replacement surgery has not been set yet.

Over the weekend mom was able to lower her oxygen from 3L down to 1L.  She continued to make laps around the floor she is on and gained some good strength.  Her color looks great and she is having fun and joking around with the nurses and doctors.

They are looking into some stomach pain she has been having, this was occurring even before the hospital entry.  They are trying some reflux meds and then may send a scope down thinking it could be an ulcer.

We are thankful for good news and praying that as the time approaches for the valve replacement surgery the Lord would keep her mind, body and spirit strong and that her recovery would go smoothly.

Thank you for your continued prayers!

He is the good shepherd and the great physician and we give him all the glory!

I was praying that it would be uneventful. Glad to hear that it was. Thanks for keeping us posted.
